Job Description
As we look to build out and grow our Supplemental Health Solutions (SHS) business we are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Architect with a proven track record of delivering large-scale data applications and a deep understanding of data architecture and design principles to ensure we are prepared to be successful in the marketplace over the next decade. As such, we are looking to augment our architecture team to bring a motivated individual that can:
Develop and maintain data architecture standards and best practices
Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements
Collaborate with development teams to ensure the timely and effective delivery of data solutions
Participate in data model design and reviews to ensure delivery teams are aligned to the data architecture, technology solution and integration points
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including ERDs, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams
Conduct performance analysis, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems in a timely manner
Stay current with new technology developments and provide recommendations for improvements
Drive data architecture direction by defining solutions that are in alignment with enterprise architecture standards, principles, and strategic technical business direction
Participate in Program Increment (PI) Planning as needed, Pre- and Post-PI Planning, System and Solution Demos, and I&As
In collaboration with solution, system and enterprise architects, lead the architecture and process improvements for data architecture and data management
Ensure data design follows the prescribed reference architecture and framework and reflects appropriate business rules and facilitates data integration, data conformity and data integrity.
Improve data integration, data quality and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps to achieve results.
Ensure data pipelines are designed for flexibility to support future business needs and enhancements
Qualifications
Strong technical background with a core competency in software development and/or architecture is desired.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience related to IT delivery or software development.
4+ years technical, enterprise or data architecture experience
Track record of successful data architecture, delivery including data modeling and governance solutions
Influencing skills – sound business and technical acumen as well as skilled at achieving buy-in for delivery strategies
In-depth knowledge of modern data modeling standards and being an active participant in enforcing during data model reviews
Experience designing data structures for applications/systems leveraging Oracle technologies – including RDBMS, APEX, ORDS, PL/SQL & SQL
Proficient with SQL Developer Data Modeler and/or similar data modeling tools
Strong business acumen – able to effectively articulate business objectives
Very strong analytical skills, Highly Focused, Team player, Versatile, Resourceful, Flexible/Adaptable
Quick learner – ability to effectively impart knowledge to others, Effective under pressure-Precise communicator (ability to project clarity and precision in verbal and written communication); Strong presentation skills
Demonstrated core project management skills including project planning, scope management, issue and risk management, resource planning, financial management, etc.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,800 - 161,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
