Summary of Role:

Raytheon Technologies Global Infrastructure Services is seeking an experienced and motivated technologist focused on enterprise application automation and hosting within Amazon Web Services infrastructure. As part of the Cloud Center of Enablement they will work within an Agile product team to develop foundational enterprise integration capabilities, service guardrails, self-service automation, continuous compliance, operational processes, and documentation to comply with IT policy and Global Trade regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a self-service automation-first approach, ensuring secure and scalable solutions that empower information system owners and stakeholders to rapidly deploy and manage applications
  • Author service collateral, design artifacts, and support documentation to enable scalable adoption.
  • Implement Identity and Access Management strategies to ensure least privilege access and enterprise identity integration while enable cloud native patterns using a combination of Service Control and account IAM.
  • Integrate AWS with the enterprise networks and core IT services
  • Ensure service compliance with RTX IT Security policies, NIST 800-53, and CMMC control requirements.
  • Develop deployment and auto-remediate automation to enforce guardrails and address common configuration issues.
  • Provide self-service provisioning and management automation for bimodal applications teams – supporting both traditional IaaS workload and modern serverless applications.
  • Design and develop the core AWS landing zone automation
  • Develop automation solutions using 3rd party solutions, infrastructure-as-code solutions as Terraform, and/or direct API integrations with Python based functions.
  • Implement centralized landing zone automation and management services such as AWS Organizations, Config, Guard Duty and CloudTrail.
  • Work within an Agile product team, taking objectives from the product owner, breaking them down into detailed increments, and delivering committed capability on-time.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, communicating and documenting procedures, and recommending architectural changes when necessary.
  • Design and implement critical event detection and notification to support implemented solutions
  • Implement end-to-end asset and configuration management for network solutions, providing mapping and validation across technology stacks
  • Transition solutions to steady state operations following enterprise ITIL processes and provide escalation support

Basic Qualifications:

  • Deep technical understanding of public cloud and enterprise infrastructure
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication and technical skills are essential. Ability to build and maintain customer relationships; strong agile team player, able to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Git and branching strategies, Python Boto3, Terraform and Ansible

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certified architect
  • Experience operating in US Government regulated environments with strict compliance requirements.
  • Precise and accurate technical writing skills

Education:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
