We regularly prioritize and track our work so you always know what’s next. Your work with us will be highly visible throughout Zillow Group and has a significant impact on many parts of the business!

About The Role

As a Client Engineer, you will develop, and deploy applications and processes that power teams across Zillow Group. To help us continue to scale, automating repetitive tasks and optimizing for efficiency are crucial for this role. You’ll have the opportunity to bring your own experience and skillset to directly shape how we work. You’ll work on both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and our private cloud. No two days will be the same and you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of technologies and partner teams throughout Zillow Group’s portfolio of brands.

As a Client Engineer, you will:

  • Optimize the end-user experience to enable access to tools and resources for employees to perform work any time, anywhere, and on any device utilizing scripts and automation tools
  • Explore and test new technologies; provide recommendations that will influence our strategic vision and technology roadmap
  • Ownership and administration of GSuite, Google Workspace, Slack, and O365 environments with other adjacent applications
  • Configuring and supporting application integrations with IAM and collaboration tools (i.e. Okta, ServiceNow)
  • Administration of Active Directory
  • Manage licensing, access, and lifecycle management of the various applications supporting the business

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $79,300.00 - $126,700.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Experience in configuring, securing, and managing applications such as Google Workspaces, G Suite, Slack, O365, Okta (applicable certifications are a plus)
  • A fast learner with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to connect with both peers and senior leadership to address issues and propose solutions
  • Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining various cloud-based resources including hosted compute and VDI technologies
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team on IT projects to meet business requirements
  • 3 - 5 years as a Client Engineer with experience in the design, analysis, configuration, and maintenance of complex systems in an enterprise environment
