Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a < Claims Assistant >
Position type: Contract
Duration: (3-6+ months) Extension possible
Location: Alpharetta, GA 30009
Work Arrangement: - Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
The Ideal candidate will have Experience with Claims Handling and clerical/secretarial type of tasks as well as an understanding of using Microsoft applications.
As a(n) < Claims Assistant > you will:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Assists Professional Staff by obtaining information necessary to properly handle claims.
• Provides telephone support for incoming toll free number calls, and completes telephone and mail investigations.
• Completes claim system transactions as assigned, including new claim set ups.
• Assists in Triaging new claims to the correct line of business.
• Processes incoming wire transfers as needed.
• Provides daily work oversight in support of Claims Supervisor and Professional Staff
• Assists in problem solving all clerical processes and coding entries
• Assists in Vendor Payment Allocation across applicable claim files,
• Assists with coordination of projects and special assignments such as audit preparation
• Assists Management in reviewing existing and future processes to ensure best practices are implemented and followed
• Provides training, support and clarification to others as requested
• May perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum – High school graduate or high school equivalency
• Four (4) or more years claims clerical experience required.
• Excellent communications (telephone, e-mail and interpersonal) skills as required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a customer-centric outlook
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Software: All Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, Excel
• Knowledge of various claim systems and claim processing.
• Knowledge of insurance coverages and investigatory aspects of first and third-party claims.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $20 to $21/Hr.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
