Job Description

Your Role

As a Claims Manager, you will direct and administer casualty insurance claims with our Risk Management team and report to Manager, Risk and General Liability. This position will be fully remote, and occasional travel may be required.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with legal counsel, third-party administrator, insurance carrier, and internal

stakeholders to reduce the company’s liability exposure, drive positive claim outcomes, monitor litigated claims, and determine the value of settlements

  • Oversee the intake and investigation of new claims
  • Streamline operational procedures for incident claim reporting
  • Manage third-party administrator and ensure compliance with service level agreements
  • Facilitate claim reviews and advise on complex claim issues
  • Analyze reserve proposals and communicate with stakeholders on any significant financial impacts
  • Identify solutions to eliminate or minimize risks and prevent losses by identifying claim trends
  • Assist with annual insurance renewals
Qualifications


What You Bring

  • At least five years of corporate risk management, claims handling and insurance experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Subject matter expertise on claim adjudication, standard concepts, and best practices
  • Understanding of state regulations and laws governing the administration of worker’s comp claims
  • Ability to compile and deliver analytical findings to reduce claim frequency
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Strong communications and negotiation skills
