This position is responsible for providing general receptionist duties at City Hall.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Regular attendance is required.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Sort postal mail daily
- Mail of accounts payable checks.
- Handle filing, mailing, copying, faxing, scanning, data entry, and other general office functions.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and provide information or route calls as required.
- Daily cash receipting.
- Assist with permitting and licensing as appropriate.
- Receive visitors and provide assistance or direct them to appropriate areas and/or staff.
- Record and deposit money collected input as appropriate and balance cash drawer.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook Microsoft applications.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to respond in a courteous and professional manner with both internal and external customers.
Holidays
Regular, part-time employees receive holiday pay on a prorated basis for all City holidays, regardless of whether they are scheduled to work on the day on which the holiday is recognized. This may result in adjusting schedules to maintain the number of budgeted hours for that position.
Sick Leave
Regular part-time employees will earn sick leave on a prorated basis, up to the maximum accrual equal to a full-time employee accrual rate. Sick leave may be accumulated to a maximum of 960 hours.
Vacation
Regular, part-time employees will earn vacation on a prorated basis, up to the maximum accrual equal to a full-time employee accrual rate
