Key Responsibilities:


  • Communicates complex strategy topics clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences through both written and oral communication.
  • Provides quality assurance for manager-led projects.

  • Identifies major strategic opportunities that affect the industry or company.
  • Drives continuous improvement for the strategy function to drive consistency and sustainability.
  • Anticipates needs of the business with a strategic mindset; applies strategic frameworks to analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Partners with global teams to strengthen the strategy community across countries and business units.
  • Directs multiple business strategy projects that produce recommendations for addressing major strategic issues, identify major growth opportunities and develop business plans for realizing these opportunities; projects may be within a business unit, across multiple business units, or involve the creation of a new business venture, such as a joint venture, equity alliance, acquisition, etc.
  • Manage and direct multiple M&A relate projects.
  • Identify and incubate leading technology with strategic investment.
  • Leads and directs teams in the design and development of strategy.
  • Actively leads campus recruiting activities, including brand-building on campus through presentations, social interactions, and other activities on campus; interviews; interviews professional hires.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

IT Workforce Strategy Leader


Description


We are looking for a talented IT Workforce Strategy Leader to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Columbus, Indiana / hybrid from your home office.


The IT Workforce Strategy Leader will play a critical role in ensuring we are attracting, retaining, and developing a diverse, capable IT Workforce.


In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:


  • Responsible for financial management including AOP, budget management, and forecasting.
  • Accountable for Six Sigma training, usage and goal attainment for the team.
  • Responsible of IT Controls compliance for the team
  • Engagement with customers in their respective function or business area.
  • Developing, maintaining, and executing the IT Learning & Development Strategy including training and development programs
  • Participate as a key member of an IT Management Team.
  • Communicate status to senior management.
  • Representing the IT Function in Cummins L&D, and talent initiatives such as the Global Learning Council , RePower, providing IT Talent Pipeline and Forecasts to Global Talent Acquisition
  • Governance/Leadership for all program/projects executed or supported by their teams.
  • Developing maintaining, and executing an IT Workforce Strategy encompassing insource/outsource, location strategies, and a strategic workforce planning process.
  • Supporting recruitment and talent pipeline development initiatives including intern programs (Xtern), college hires, professional (RePower, and other talent pipelines)
  • Manages a group of intermediate level IT employees
  • Responsible for team building and development including organization structure, recruiting, global team management.
  • Ensure team adherence to all IT processes, policies, and procedures including IT Security.
  • Owning and Managing the IT intern operations
  • Leading Workforce Strategy initiatives as part of the Renovate IT Foundation workstream
  • Compile and present Management Reports on team performance including metrics, deliverable status, etc.
  • Responsible for People Management including work plan development, performance management, and people development.
  • Providing support to the CIO DE&I Recruiting Workstream
  • Working with IT discipline owners, govern and maintain the GPP's and Competencies for the IT Function

Compensation And Benefits


Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $112,000-$168,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
