Chief Technology Officer Jobs

Our client, a public financial services company, is searching for a Chief Technology Officer to join their executive team. This is a newly formed role to separate the Engineering team from the Product Team. The ideal candidate will have an enterprise background or will have led smaller organizations through extreme growth, M&A experience (managing and merging Engineering teams) and experience leading offshore teams in the FinTech space.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the company's engineering and technology roadmaps. Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with business goals and broader technology strategy
• Use insights from data to drive efficient feature delivery and operations excellence
• Expand, support, and mentor a best-in-class engineering team
• Foster a culture of strategic ownership and cross-functional collaboration down to the engineering level
• Translate the strategy into goals and an actionable roadmap

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership, software engineering and architecture, including full stack development
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams of engineers, as well as with customers
• Domain expertise in IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS products
• Experience working with enterprise software is a must
• Excellent understanding of cloud computing technologies, highly reliable and available large scale distributed systems
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
• Experience leading and motivating software engineering teams and managing complex software projects
