ATARID Specialist Recruiters to the Property and Asset Management Industry are seeking experienced candidates on behalf of our client for:

Chief Operating Officer – Experience as Senior Vice President or similar senior role from within affordable housing corporation is essential.

Responsible for maintaining and driving operational results by working closely with the CEO and executive management team. Effective driven leader who can incite company growth, develop key operational procedures and process to ensure day to day operational excellence of a regional management company.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting and assisting the CEO in managing all aspects of the business.
• Prepare operational reports and management reports.
• Head outreach and business relations.
• Oversee planning, maintenance, and efficiency.
• Devise and implement business strategies, plans and procedures for the overall operational performance of the company.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local and federal agencies for growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance on local, state, and federal level.
• Establish operational policies and procedures to promote company vision.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of affordable housing company by working with Executives (Property Operations, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Business Development) to ensure operational success.
• Drive sustainable growth.

Qualifications & Benefits

• Understanding of analytics and performance metrics.
• Understanding of all facets of the affordable housing industry.
• Demonstrated experience maximizing property's Net Operating Income (NOI) in accordance with business plan and property's budgets.
• Resourceful and analytical with exceptional communication skills.
• Good public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Aptitude in problem-solving and decision-making.
• Strong track record of leadership.
• 10+ years demonstrated success managing affordable housing operations of a regional property management company as Senior Vice President or COO is essential.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel & PowerPoint; experience using property management software similar to Yardi or Onesite
• Knowledge of IT/business infrastructure.
• Travel – limited travel within California
• Superior project management skills.

Location: Escondido, CA

Compensation: $200,000 commensurate with experience from within affordable housing sector. Plus bonus and benefits.
