This position is open to remote as well as any GFiber location: Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte NC, Durham NC, Huntsville AL, Kansas City, Nashville, Orange County CA, Salt Lake City, San Antonio TX, and West Des Moines.
TOP (Technology, Operations & Product Development) is responsible for all technological choices, vendor selections, development, and operation of both external facing products and the echo system of tools and processes required to conduct the day to day business operations. In this capacity, TOP is continually involved in conducting technological due diligence of upcoming relevant technologies, executing on many simultaneous projects for product or tools development/enhancement, running and operating a complex service delivery apparatus and maintaining the health and capacity of resources required for customer facing products and internal business tools.
Role Description:
The chief of staff for TOP will report directly to the VP of TOP and serve as the right hand to the VP position to coordinate all TOP’s internal activities and cross functional collaboration efforts. This role will be a key member of TOP leadership team and will act as a strategist, advisor, and decision-maker through involvement with operations, recruiting, and special ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will act as an extension of the VP to balance priorities, communicate effectively, and maximize the effectiveness of the leadership team.
This position is expected to establish a trusted and respected relationship within the TOP management team and cross functional leadership teams. Accordingly, as necessary and appropriate, act and collaborate as a proxy for the TOP VP.
Responsibilities:
  • Arrangement of (frequency, agenda, etc.) TOP team building and management meetings and events including all-hands meetings, offsites, and regular leadership meetings.
  • Single point of contact for budgeting, planning and actual vs budget variance analysis.
  • Collaboration with TOP Steer Co presenters to align and coordinate presentation contents (security debriefing, network health status and related improvements, project updates and demos, etc.)
  • Tracking and reporting of TOP goals, milestones, OKRs, employee survey results and consequential actions.
  • Develop, maintain and provide updated and consolidated status reports on major TOP programs.
  • Facilitate and arrange for cross functional collaborations and develop/manage a priority list for each internal customer and accordingly TOP’s related activities (BAU projects, ePMO programs, tiger team efforts, etc.)
  • Coordinate and lead annual (and ad hoc) budgeting and planning activities within TOP and act as the POC to the finance department.
  • Aggregation of TOP resources, tracking of FTE and TVC resource allocations and related budgeting elements.
  • Aggregation of all TOP activities and alignment of the same with corporate priorities, including metrics and reporting of open activities, product health, BAU queue
At a minimum we’d like you to have:
  • Ability to influence, facilitate, create relationships, and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels
  • 10 years of experience as senior software leadership, product management, technical project management or similar leadership role.
  • Experience with technical product development teams and processes across software, product, user experience, and data science, and an understanding of the applicability of different skills and methodologies.
  • Experience in critical project management roles.

  • Strong communications and presentation skills.
  • Fast learner and willing to become highly knowledgeable of new processes and technical concepts while remaining adaptable to maintain alignment with changing business needs and corresponding technical requirements.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment and influence others without the benefit of direct reporting structure.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $208,000- $286,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
