Overview
As Chief of Staff at LegalZoom, you will report directly to the CEO and play a crucial role in supporting the executive C-team in driving the company's strategic priorities and growth objectives. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for managing and coordinating cross-functional projects, managing board meeting materials and preparation, goal setting and tracking, supporting the executive C-level leadership team in decision-making, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across LegalZoom's leadership team, and managing company-wide internal and external communications for LegalZoom.
You will
  • Facilitate the development of the board agenda and presentation materials in partnership with the CEO and executive C-team
  • Lead the alignment of agenda, development of materials, and coordination of internal and external company-wide communications and meetings, partnering with the Marketing, Legal and People teams and relevant business leaders as key stakeholders
  • Conduct research and analysis on key business issues and trends, providing insights and recommendations to the executive C-team
  • Collaborate with LegalZoom's leadership team to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making and effective communication and collaboration across LegalZoom's leadership team to ensure alignment and buy-in on key initiatives and decisions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive C-team, providing high-level strategic support
  • Drive operational excellence and efficiency by identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and tools
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders and executives within and outside of the organization (including directly managing relationships with our PR agency as part of owning external communications).
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company priorities and timelines
You Have
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives, with a track record of delivering results
  • Excellent presentation development, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others
  • 4+ years of experience in a strategic consulting role at a top tier consulting firm (investment banking, PE or VC experience nice-to-have)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Passion for LegalZoom's mission and values, with a desire to make a meaningful impact on the company's growth and success.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions
  • 3+ years of experience working in-house in a leadership role at a Tech company
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality, with the ability to handle sensitive information and situations

This position will be (SF Bay Area, LA Metro office location/s).
LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($180,000-$275,000). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
