POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the marketing strategy and brand development across the organization's diverse portfolio of brands. The CMO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's marketing vision and executing strategic initiatives to maximize brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue generation. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven marketing leader to make a significant impact in a dynamic company. This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
In addition, the Chief Marketing Officer will also be responsible for the following:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, identify areas for improvement, and optimize marketing investments.
- Lead a high-performing brand and product line marketing team, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external agencies, retail partners, and industry influencers.
- Collaborate closely with product development teams to ensure effective product launches and alignment with market needs and trends.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing technologies to drive continuous innovation and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Oversee the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, digital advertising, events, and PR.
- Leverage consumer insights and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, consumer trends, and emerging market segments.
- Drive brand positioning, differentiation, and storytelling to enhance the overall market presence and resonance of the company’s portfolio of brands.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand growth, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate/partner across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a commitment to staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving marketing landscape.
- Experience working with private equity-owned companies and managing marketing initiatives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in brand management, integrated marketing communications, and digital marketing.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire, motivate, and develop teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years in strategic marketing leadership roles, preferably within the consumer goods, retail, or lifestyle industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Strong commercial orientation and appreciation of the need to partner our retailers in the development of the business.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with expertise in marketing analytics and ROI measurement.
