About the job

You will be the 4th CXO level person in the company, part of the management team of co-Founders, with Chandra, CEO, Itsaso, CMO, Matt, CGO, James, VP Sales and André, CTO.

You will lead the artificial intelligence, data science, technological choices, roadmap, strategy, and research / academic partnerships.

You demonstrate a deep understanding of the fields of AI, deep learning, computer vision, face analytics technologies innovation & management.

You are interested in AI, its social acceptance, ethics, and privacy.

You want a piece of a company whose purpose is to become the leader in the emotion economy with human-centric artificial intelligence.

You believe in no guts no glory and are ready to walk the talk and be an entrepreneur.

We already have sales of our Face AR and Emotion SDKs, but they are too small so the leadership is not taking salaries until we are back in growth mode.

Your package is a negotiated amount of Founder equity.

No paycheck for approx. 6 months. Half–time is OK in this phase but we prefer full time.

You will have responsibility for:

• Manage the team, provide them with mentoring, technology leadership, and growth opportunities, rewarding team members for exceptional performance.

• Define the whole technology stack.

• Manage operations with agile methods that fit with the small size of the company and its big ambitions

• Track performance in order to maintain the productivity of the team. Work closely with data scientists and AI engineers, understanding where they are finding success, and where they need work.

• Improve the datasets, tools, and products by listening to ideas from the developers, advocating for innovative ideas, and finding paths to their implementation.

• Develop a technical strategy with clear goals, obstacles, risk analysis aligned with the company’s business objectives.

• Represent the company, promoting new and innovative ideas, inspire trust in the products and underlying AI that the company is building, through an active involvement across the public spaces.

• Participate in the writing of scientific papers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; Master's Degree preferred
• Solid skills in AI, computer vision, data science, software development with good knowledge of TensorFlow, TS Lite, Python: ability to create, curate datasets, train models, optimize them for performance and precision.
• Must have: AI data science experience (min 5 years).
• Experience in Vision AI, OpenCV, Dlib, Yolo
• Solution driven thinking
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working in a cross-functional environment
• Experience in optimizing neural networks, such as pruning, etc.
• Comfortable with working remotely, at least partially
