Data Science/Machine Learning Researcher - $120,000 - $150,000 – Fully Remote

A strong coding background; Python & SQL is a must!

We are looking for candidates based in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Are you currently working within a Machine Learning/ Data Science company?

Familiarity with databases and data management systems is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver accurate results within specified deadlines.

Experience in working with data collection or research projects is preferred but not mandatory; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred candidate has prior experience working on grant projects, including grant management and administration.

Unofficial academic transcripts, including those for SIUE. All candidates must provide transcripts for educational qualification verification and/or course work assessment

A combination of Master's degree plus some work experience is preferred.

Preferred candidate has prior experience as a crime analyst and is an IACA certified crime analyst.

7-10 years of experience in a data science role

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Prior experience in financial services or consulting, particularly private equity, is strongly preferred

Source, incorporate, and analyze alternative datasets to support investment processes and drive innovation in our private equity business

Ensure a strong commitment to quantitative methods, algorithmic fairness, and data privacy across all aspects of the data analysis process

10+ years experience as a Data Scientist or similar position

5+ years of experience in building, managing, and leading a high-performing data science team

Experience in using data science to optimize the user experience.

Mentor team members in areas of data engineering, analytics, statistics, and machine learning.

Masters Degree in Math/Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Science or related quantitative field

Knowledge in distributed compute/data processing technologies (eg: Apache Hadoop, Spark, Hive)

Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and ELK stack

Knowledge or demo projects with Container technology and AWS services including S3, Amazon ECS or Google cloud

Experience in NLP, AI, Voice Assistants, Machine Learning

PhD student studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering

Passionate about writing production quality code

Technical depth with demonstrated skills and experience in presenting analytical results both verbally and in writing

Successfully complete data insights with management

Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining

Lead projects using data modeling/analysis.

Lead a team of analyst level employees.

Build/develop/maintain data models, dashboards, automation systems

Oversee the design and delivery of reports/insights of key operations and business functions

Excellent time management and communication skills, showing adherence to efficiency and an ability to manage up.

Lead the development and management of dynamic Tableau dashboards for FFP’s programs and clients.

Manage and conduct the update of FFP’s public and private indexes, offering recommendations for data quality and visualization improvement.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Experience with building end-to-end reusable pipelines from data acquisition to model output delivery

Practices leadership and communication skills to influence teams and to evangelize data science across the organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
