Job Description

Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer is accountable for the financial including the development financial and operational metrics and reporting tied to the operations and business strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of controls systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results This position reports to the CEO and works closely with the Board.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Strategy

  • Partner with the CEO and senior management team on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
  • Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of long and short-term strategic financial objectives.
  • As a member of the senior management team participate in the ongoing strategic planning process, develop and implement a strategic plan for growth and an integrated financial strategy.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, while monitoring the use of all funds.
  • Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset inventory control.
  • Oversee business insurance plans and health care coverage analysis.
  • Act as a leader in the achievement of the corporate mission through my work and my support of the mission when working with employees.
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls and processes to safeguard financial assets.
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics for CEO, owner and board; prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements and provide an assortment of materials to board as requested and needed.
  • Spearhead systems utilizations, to support efficient operational functions that ensure the organization’s infrastructure and systems are optimized for success. Work closely with IT to ensure that finance, inventory and distribution (supply chain) business requirements and processes are clearly defined and implemented in ERP.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits, administration, accounts payable, accounts receivables, cash flow, General Ledger operations, audit reviews, tax filings, and other financial activities as applicable.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting.
  • Oversee long-term budgetary strategy, planning and cost management in alignment with company’s mission, strategic plan, and long-term profitability goals.
  • Hire, coach, and mentor team members, to develop their abilities, supporting the individual growth and development of the team members.
  • Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
  • Develop strategy for and oversee budgeting, and the implementation of budgets, monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally.

Legal and contract management

· Manage the contracts and proper keeping of all the contracts.

Qualifications

  • Ability to be proactive in resolving financial issues
  • This position is work from office.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Ability to lead and motivate employees into winning, high functioning teams
  • Extensive experience with ERP and financial reporting systems
  • Position requires thorough financial understanding of financial statements, forecasting, inventory management and back office functions
  • Very high reasoning skills needed: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Enthusiasm and desire to work and collaborate within a dynamic, cross-functional team environment, with an eagerness to mentor staff and cultivate new talent
  • Very demanding with the team on the use of funds and does not shy away from difficult negotiations.
  • BA in Finance or Accounting with CPA
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional hands-on and management experience in accounting and financial management
  • Strong organizational skills- must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
