CENTRAL SCHEDULING SPECIALIST FULL-TIME, DAYs Edward-Elmhurst Medical Group
Location: Corporate Center - 4201 Winfield Rd, Warrenville. Possibility to work remote or hybrid schedule after 4 months of training and must meet all productivity/quality metrics. (Must reside in Illinois)
This call center position is a rewarding way to assist our patients by providing a safe, seamless, and personal experience with their healthcare needs. This position is full-time, 40 hours/week: Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm and Saturday 8 am-12 pm. Saturdays are every week or every other depending on the department. Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining/Verifying demographic and insurance information
• Central Scheduling Specialist takes between 80-120 incoming calls daily
• All interaction are via phone/ in basket messages; no face to face contact other than co-workers
• Scheduling/canceling/rescheduling appointments per protocol
• Takes clear and concise messages and relays to the appropriate clinical staff. Having a questioning attitude to determine the urgency of the call to take proper action.
• Central scheduling Specialist must be comfortable sitting at a computer for long periods of time answering one call after another. The position uses a headset and dual monitors.
• Providing GREAT customer service
• Must be multi-functional and adapt to changes when needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Completion of a medical terminology course and/or knowledge of physician office operations is preferred
• Strong organizational skills, a multi tasker and able to adapt to change when needed
• High School Diploma or GED, BILINGUAL SPANISH preferred but no required
• MUST BE ABLE TO TYPE AT LEAST 30wpm. A typing assessment will be part of the interview.
• Minimum one year of physician office experience or Customer Service experience
