Responsibilities:

Position Summary

The CBO Director is responsible for the Central Billing Office (CBO) of an assigned state and market. The director leads the full revenue cycle, ensuring maximum cash flow and protect integrity of Concentra assets

The Details

Identify, analyze, and assist CBO Manager and/or Supervisors with the oversight of global issues pertaining to proper billing, deposits, payment posting and collections of center accounts receivable
  • Compile, analyze, and present monthly accounts receivable reports in coordination with CBO Manager and/or Supervisors
  • Plan and coordinate special accounts receivable projects
  • Evaluate operational, procedural and personnel situations and identifies appropriate solutions based on a thorough understanding of business conditions, corporate objectives and policies, strategic customers, and the long-term impact of implementation
  • Lead staff including performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions
  • Develop and monitor CBO staffing model and staffing
  • Increase the use of available technology in the order to improve cash process
  • Participate in State Workers' Compensation bureau meetings, keeping appropriate leadership team members aware of reimbursement rules and fee schedule initiatives
  • Monitor adherence to the budget and overall expense control
  • Communicate with CBO, local and regional leadership teams on pertinent accounts receivable issues

  • Develop direct relationships with payers and employers to promote positive working relationships
  • Implement policies to verify the integrity and control of the accounts receivable system data efficiencies
Qualifications:

Education/Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or business administration, or equivalent job relevant experience and/or education
  • In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa

Job-Related Experience

  • Customarily has at least five years leading accounts receivable
  • Customarily has at least ten years of experience in finance roles of increasing scope and responsibility
  • Accounts receivable experience in healthcare industry with multi location practice preferred
