The position would be primarily days, some evenings.
CDL Driver - $1500.00 Sign on Bonus (FT)
CDL Driver - $1000.00 Sign on Bonus (PRN/PT)
(*Sign on Bonus Eligibility is based on your status at time of hire. Status must be that of full time, working at least 40 hours per week for the $1500.00 bonus. Status must be that of part time, working less than 30 hours per week for the $1000.00 bonus. All sign-on bonuses are prorated and paid over 5 quarters.)
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Transportation CDL Driver provides transportation and assistance to residents during scheduled trips in a safe and pleasant manner. They are responsible for keeping vehicles clean and reporting vehicle problems to the Transportation Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
CDL with Passenger Endorsement
Clean driving record
EXPERIENCE:
One year of experience driving Class B or C busses
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Basic understanding of how motor vehicles work
- Basic computer skills to be able to access the Transportation Schedule
PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform office duties as assigned by Transportation Coordinator
- Attend in-services and department meetings
- Inspect vehicles to insure safety and comfort
- Clean vehicles on an ongoing basis
- Stay with Resident and assist as needed
- Arrive at appointed pick-up place on time
- Perform minor maintenance as assigned by Transportation Coordinator
- Report all vehicle maintenance and cleaning needs to Transportation Coordinator
- Fill out billing slips at the end of the trip.
- Help Residents into and out of vehicles as needed
- Provide safe and comfortable trip to destination
- Take vehicles in for repairs as assigned by Transportation Coordinator
- Fuel vehicles as needed
- Maintain a flexible schedule, inform Transportation Coordinator of changes in availability
- Obtain maps and directions for destination
