Job Summary


RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAIALBLE
Do you enjoy creating and implementing innovative culinary solutions to customers? We are currently seeking an inspired Catering Executive Chef at Boise State University, a premiere account. The selected candidate will be based out of the UH-Main Campus, and will provide culinary expertise and manage culinary operations for catering across the entire UH system. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements unique and cuisine appropriate menus
  • Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Identifies ways to increase catering revenue and decrease cost through waste management and cost control measures.
  • Works with Sr. Catering Director to build and retain client relationships
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Collaborates with the Catering Director to set menu prices
  • Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
  • Responsible for FOH operations in the absence of the Director
  • Ensures culinary and services standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented and achieved
  • Prepares meals and completes meal prep support as needed
  • Hires and trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standards
  • Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive catering experience a plus
  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • ServSafe certified - highly desirable
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable

Salary Range: 75,000-85,000
Starting Rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: location, education, training, and/or experience
