Description
Casting Director – English Dubbing
Position Overview
The Casting Director for our English Dubbing department is to be a key pillar in the team’s creative process. They will be responsible for overseeing the internal casting process for English dubbing projects and will help shape our professional relationships with talent and agencies across the industry. The Casting Director will be a leader who develops and expands our talent roster, thereby greatly diversifying the voices you hear in our English dubs.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Being a creative vision alongside our directors during the casting process.
  • Work with developers to create and enhance comprehensive casting tools and metrics.
  • Shaping and managing the department’s overall casting workflow, including collecting voice samples and organizing in-person and remote auditions where needed.
  • Adhering to all content security and confidentiality requirements during the casting process.
  • Helping to develop and expand our talent database not only across the U.S., but globally.
  • Strengthening relationships through correspondence with talent agencies and performers.
  • Understanding Union vs. non-Union dubbing production guidelines, talent and agency rates and client studio requirements.
  • Understanding specific casting requirements and project challenges while clearly communicating with clients, creatives and producers to provide strong talent options.
  • Collaborating with our producing team to achieve a high-level of efficiency and professionalism from project to project.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail, nuance and creative intent.
  • Competency in word processor and spreadsheet software (Office, GSuite, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of dubbing workflows, standards and technology a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years of collective casting experience, with 4-5 years on localization related projects and at least 2 years specifically on English Dubbing projects.
  • Comfortability in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience participating in English Dubbing sessions desired, (directing, acting, observing).
  • Experience with sensitive and complex casting requirements.
  • Having an established network within the entertainment industry in various production fields; television, film, animation, gaming, localization.
  • Ability to juggle casting multiple projects simultaneously with varying Directors, Producers and clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
This is not a fully remote position. The ideal candidate will be required to spend time on-site to attend recording sessions, client mix reviews and interact with creative, admin and production teams across our studios in Hollywood, Culver City and Burbank.

This role is based in Los Angeles, California and the base pay range for this role is $105,000 -$120,000 annually. Actual amounts will vary depending on education, skills, experience, and geographic location.
