THIS IS A NON-CIVIL SERVICE POSITION
CITY OF BALTIMORE
MAYOR’S OFFICE OF AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE ENGAGEMENT
CASE MANAGER – NAVIGATION CENTER, CONTRACT SERVICES SPECIALIST

  • Other assigned duties.
  • Evaluate program activities.
  • Visits sites to verify and investigate problems and to interview youth; assesses situation and determines appropriate actions required to remedy or abate problems; refers youth to various City, State and private agencies and charities for services; conducts follow-up visits and calls to youth to ensure the receipt of services and the resolution of problems.
  • Acts as an advocate for assigned youth assists in completing required case management documents, reads and interprets documents for assigned clients; consults with agency professionals regarding the resolution of clients' problems.
  • Maintains critical documents pertaining participant data and case management. Assist in obtaining Critical documents required for participant personal growth and development.
  • Researches and assesses causes of recurring barriers and navigate systems to determine and implement preventive measures and intervention strategies to resolve these problems.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to present research results orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques methods of public of program development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Administrative ability.
  • Ability to plan organize, implement and administer a program or operation.
  • Knowledge of customer relations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to utilize common business software.
Education and Experience
Preferred - A degree from an accredited college or university or three (3) years of experience in planning, evaluation or case management. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
