Purpose
Provide career counseling to a large volume of talented students, recent graduates and alumni at a top-ranked national law school, network extensively with legal employers, and work collaboratively with a professional and service-oriented Career Services staff.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with publication and production of career-related resources. Develop and implement career development programs and deliver presentations. Coordinate/assist in the management and implementation of interview and other student-focused programs.
  • Represent the Career Services Office and the School of Law at professional meetings and campus functions.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with employers. Market the law school’s students to potential employers via email, telephone, and on- and off-campus visits.
  • Advise and counsel a large volume of students, recent graduates, and alumni, covering the range of career options for our students with a primary focus on private sector careers.
  • Other related responsibilities and functions as assigned.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with students, alumni, and faculty and administration.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree. Experience working with or for legal employers or law schools. A high degree of computer competency. Excellent writing skills. Professional demeanor.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
JD Degree. Experience working with students. Experience counseling or working in an educational setting. Experience in event planning. Experience and knowledge of legal careers in the private sector. Public speaking and presentation skills.
Salary
$90,000+ Depending on experience
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, use of manual dexterity. Lift and move standard office files and supplies. Wear appropriate office attire; accept supervision. Work hours may include occasional evenings, weekends and some holidays during peak periods to meet deadlines.

Employment Eligibility:
