Job Description
The Capital Management team is JPMorgan Chase's central function responsible for end-to-end oversight of the firm's capital management framework to ensure the firm is compliant with regulatory capital requirements and maintains fortress principles related to capital levels, capital distributions/buy-backs, capital stress testing and internal capital allocation. The team sits within Corporate Treasury but individuals work in close partnership with stakeholders within Risk, the Business and other Finance functions around the world to ensure a cohesive global approach to capital management
The Basel Measurement and Analytics group within Capital Management produces and analyzes firm-wide Counterparty Credit risk regulatory capital results based on Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), and Exposure at Default (EAD) segmentation methodologies on a monthly basis. The team is responsible for implementation of Basel rules and enhancement to the Basel reporting infrastructure.
The candidate will work closely with Lines of Business, Capital Modeling, Model Implementation, Technology and Regulatory Policy to advance the Firm's capital agenda in Retail Credit and Other Assets risk stripe.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Meet Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and audit requirements, provide requisite datasets and documents for review.
  • Partner with risk management, lines of business and technology teams to identify and remediate data quality issues. Tracking and management of issues through to resolution.
  • Manage/Mentor a team of 3-4 individuals performing Quarterly production reporting and supporting the Intra-Quarter reporting requirements. Provide adequate training to all new and existing associates to increase the knowledge and skills about RWA process.
  • Perform deliverables related to production of Retail Credit Risk/Risk Weighted Assets (RWA). Analyze RWA, perform trend analysis, forecast-to-actual results variances and provide insights for stakeholders and senior management
  • Have expertise on frameworks and methodologies used in one or more of the Retail banking products. Advanced skills in quantification and validation of model outputs. E.G.: PD, LGD and EAD.
  • Lead efforts to enhance internal reporting processes from both sustainability and content perspective.
  • Implement new business initiatives, model updates collaborating with stakeholders and partnering with Technology. Focus on prioritization, plan, implementation and documentation of production processes and their strategic implementation.
  • Maintain Procedure documents for the production process. Maintain Implementation guidance documents detailing the data, associated rule implementation for RWA calculation and reporting.
  • Perform quantitative impact studies (QIS) for regulatory agencies. Understand the upcoming rules and regulations in Retail domain, determine data gaps, draft resolution plans, and create implementation processes for reporting.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Quantitative, Finance, Economics or related disciplines is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of treasury, financial or regulatory reporting experience, preferably at a large financial institution.
  • Project management and delivery experience. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, both independently and as a team player.
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups and cross-continent teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with focus on controls. Superior attention to detail and process-orientation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote) required.
