Job Description
Title: CAP - Preceptor - Birth Center


Location: Tacoma, WA 98405


Duration: 26 weeks


Shift: 12H Days


Requrements


Minimum Experience: 3 years in specialty (5+ preferred)


First-time traveler: No


Preceptor Experience REQUIRED


Beds: 45 (15 labor, 18 PP, and 12 antepartum) plus a 4-bed OBED and 3 OR s


Shift: Days and Nights (last 4 weeks)


EMR: EPIC, CPN for fetal monitoring (Required)


Mandatory Skills: labor management and delivery of high risk OB patients, circulate in the OR.


Required Certifications: ACLS, NRP, BLS, Intermediate FHM (AWHONN)


Floating: No


Receptionist Available: Yes


Telemetry Monitoring: No


Nursing Reading and Interpreting Strips: Expect competency in reading/interpreting fetal monitor strips


Nurse to Patient Ratio: Staff to AWHONN guidelines; 1:1 for active labor, 1:2-3 for antepartum


Support Staff: HUC, CNA, LPN
