Camp Operations Internship Jobs

Padres Baseball Camps is looking for a Camp Operations Internship. Padres Baseball & Softball Camps operate camps around the San Diego area to boys and girls ages 4-13. Padres Baseball & Softball Camps enrich the lives of children through exceptional instruction, character development, and a unique major league experience that creates lasting memories. Padres Baseball & Softball Camps features five action-packed days of individualized instruction, marquee competitions, and special events. Each day of Padres Camp features a personal character theme, teaching campers lessons on the diamond that they can utilize off the field to become more outstanding young men and women.
Qualifications

• All work will be in-person in throughout San Diego County.
• Be available to work 30 hours or more per week between 7:00AM-3:00PM (Monday through Friday) and some weekends.
• Maintains the highest level of professionalism when interacting with all members of the various professional sports team front-offices, camp staff, vendors, and partners
• Is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has a strong sense of accountability
• Be able to work in outdoor conditions during summer months, and lift, carry and transport up to 50 pounds
• Be available to start this position June 12th and be available to work through August 18, 2023.
• Have reliable transportation to drive between camp locations around San Diego and the warehouse in Carlsbad, and the office in Solana Beach, CA
• Has a positive attitude and great work ethic
• Has excellent time management

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of team events that foster a sense of community, collaboration, and growth with our seasonal and full-time employees
• Master the quality assurance and receiving of all vendor items such as sports uniforms, giveaways, equipment, and supplies.
• Prepare equipment for early care and after care.
• Fill/refill water coolers and place them on the fields.
• Collaborate on the execution of events, uniform packaging and distribution, and camp programming and giveaways
• Serve as a key apprentice to our leadership and warehouse management team
• Prepare supplies and ice packs for site EMT.
• Keep a close eye on inventory and budget with rigorous attention to detail
• Set up and break down car lines (Place signicades, road cones, and stop/slow signs in appropriate locations).
