Legacy Building Solutions is an established and growing fabric building manufacturer located in St Cloud, Minnesota.Today we specialize in highly custom, large and specialty fabric structures.

We are seeking a CAD Drafter/Detailer detailer to join our team. Detailers are responsible for modeling, producing shop drawings, erection drawings and develop detailed drawings for the construction of rigid steel framed tension fabric structures using Tekla.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develops detailed drawings for the construction of rigid steel framed tensioned fabric structures using Computer Aided Design software.
• Detail and design using Tekla Structures to detail, check, model, create part drawings etc.
• Designs structural steel buildings in accordance with verbal explanations, sketches, customer drawings, specifications, written descriptions/explanations and standard engineering practices
• Reviews drawings for completeness and accuracy
• Develops drawings for manufacture, components and assembly of tensioned fabric structures
• Prepares 2D/3D modelings of structures

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree in Drafting; experience may be substituted for schooling
• Familiarity with business software applications (Word, Excel, etc)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Work in a team environment with sales team, engineers, designers and drafters on projects
• Tekla structures experience. Preferred but not required
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, walk, use hands etc
• Experience with modeling software.
• Ability to self-managed multiple projects and work within deadlines
• Ability to evaluate alternatives and resolve technical issues
• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of construction and steel industry preferred.
