Cad Drafter Jobs

One Tech Engineering is searching for a CAD Drafter for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The CAD Drafter will communicate system design information for ammonia refrigeration, process and mechanical utilities (MEP).
The candidate should have experience working with AutoCad MEP software and professional experience drafting and designing with MEP systems using AutoCAD MEP or Revit.
CAD Drafter Responsibilities

• Provide complete and professional work results in accordance to the company’s and industry standards.
• Assist in the handling of project communications and document control related to pre-fabrication and construction drawings.
• Work activities involve design and drafting and interfacing with all members of the team and external parties including clients, subcontractors, consultants, vendors and others as necessary.
• Create 2D and 3D construction drawings is necessary.
• Compile project drawing documentation.
• Use AutoCAD MEP to create process and instrumentation drawings.
• Use AutoCAD MEP or Revit to generate 2D and 3D drawings used for fabrication of mechanical systems.
• Support the engineering, sales, construction and service departments.
• Coordinate CAD drawing activities with engineering, clients, subcontractors, consultants and vendors.
• Perform necessary duties to assure the company’s safety and other policies and procedures are met.

Requirements of the CAD Drafter:

• US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship
• Must be a team player with a willingness to help others in project delivery.
• Current MEP Software: AutoCad MEP 2022 w/Trimble EC-CAD piping database & Revit 2022 w/Trimble SysQue piping database.
• Minimum two (2) years drafting experience with MEP systems using AutoCAD MEP or Revit.
• Working knowledge of construction plan reading and preparation of construction documents.
• Must be self-motivated, driven, and able to work with limited supervision.
• Experience with BIM coordination, 3D piping systems and piping and instrumentation diagrams preferred.
• Strong technical skills
• Must possess strong computer skills and proficiency in AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Design/Drafting Degree or equivalent.
