JOB SUMMARY

This position creates and modifies drawings of mechanical parts and assemblies utilizing computer aided drafting techniques supported with detailed instructions and pre-established guidelines. This is an on-site position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create various drawings for new and existing products, including dimensional drawings, exploded isometric drawings and design configuration (DC) drawings.
• Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting errors when they arise and offer solutions to the team.
• Attend weekly meetings with supervisor to provide project updates.
• File and maintain all drawings properly and accurately in a product data management system.
• Create and maintain records in ERP system and engineering database.
• Accurately apply revisions to drawings to ensure all updates are properly reflected.
• Create solid models for new and existing products that vary in scope and complexity.
• Properly manage time to meet the customer’s needs of other internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Thorough knowledge of drafting standards.
• Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design preferred.
• Willingness and ability to safely go out on factory floor as necessary.
• Related work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to use computer screens 90% of the time.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred)
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
