We also provide “Charging-as-a-Service” (CaaS) through our “SparkCharge Mobile” network, which allows EV owners and businesses to schedule an EV charge delivery to wherever their vehicle is located. Description:

SparkCharge is currently seeking a Buyer to support our manufacturing plant in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will possess previous manufacturing buying and supply chain experience. The position is fully in-office in Buffalo (Cheektowaga), NY

Responsibilities:

● Asses inventory status daily and take appropriate action

● Obtain vendor quotations for materials as required

● Assist in collecting documents needed to set up new suppliers

● Create and issue purchase orders

● Procure parts and services at lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for SparkCharge

● Confirm orders with manufacturers and update internal tracking reports based on lead times

● Interact with suppliers to communicate delivery expectations, forecasts, lead time management and delivery expediting/delay

● Expedite material when necessary to ensure on time delivery

● Establish partnerships and positive working relationships with suppliers

● Work closely with all departments to maintain required levels of inventory

● Manage the return process for non-conforming parts and materials

● Engage suppliers to balance their capacity with Company inventory requirements

Requirements:

● GED, High School Diploma or equivalent

● 2 + years buying/purchasing experience within a manufacturing organization

● Strong Excel Skills

● Experience with ERP/MRP systems

● Strong communication skills both written and verbal

● Follow-up and attention to detail

● Strong organizational skills and work habits

● Ability to work both independently and as a member of close-knit manufacturing team

Additional “Plus” Experiences Include:

● Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or similar discipline

● Experience in a company producing electronic parts, and/or knowledge of electronic and electrical components

● Experience integrating an ERP system

● Experience managing outbound and inbound logistics, including international shipments
