Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified Buyer has at least two years of corporate level buying experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. In this role, you will work with Operations to maintain product flow from vendors to warehouses to stores! A successful candidate for this position will have excellent time management, outstanding problem solving and advanced excel aptitude with experience in VLOOKUPS and Macros. Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. This role is based in our office in Boston, MA.

The Buyer is responsible for:
  • Managing weeks of supply at each warehouse.
  • Maintaining weekly fill rates in an effort to achieve 100% delivery of stock ordered by our store locations.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments.
  • This position is required to work on weekends occasionally.
  • Creating, managing and directing purchase orders on a weekly basis to guarantee timely arrival of produce to all warehouse locations.
  • Working with Category Managers in planning and projecting the expected needs of our store locations for Holidays and Fearless Flyers.
  • Managing and communicating out of stock positions of all products in the categories they replenish.
