Position Title: Buyer for Men’s Rental Clothing Service

Supervisor: VP of Operations

Job Summary: Identify emerging trends in men's fashion and ensure Hyde has the inventory needed to provide high-end styling for its clientele.

About Hyde: We started Hyde with a simple idea: wanting to make it easy for men to look great. It's expensive to shop, it's hard to know what looks good, and no one likes waiting in line. However, we all know that how we dress matters. Hyde makes it simple and affordable for men to have access to great clothes.

Hyde provides each client with a personal styling session, after which our professional stylists put together a box with two outfits, curated for the client based on their sizes, needs, events, etc. The client keeps the box for 30 days, then returns it. If they really love something, they can choose to purchase it.

We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit, independent drive, and collaborative, team-oriented, mindset to manage vendors, inventory, and product selection/assortment for Hyde.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include:

• Vendor Relations (managing current and finding new vendors to meet inventory demand)
• Inventory Forecasting
• Merchandise Assortment Management- build and create, through partnering with operations and styling teams, to understand demand considering quality, sourcing, timing, delivery, mix and type of vendor partnership
• Market Analyzation
• Purchase Order Creation
• Seasonal Trend Analyzation-Men’s Fashion
• Inventory Management

Requirements

Qualified candidates have an affinity for detail, a passion for fashion tech, a high level of comfort with analytics and spreadsheets, and a strong understanding of logistics. Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, and a team-player attitude are critical to your success. Job Type: Contract

Salary Range: $25-$30 / hr

Benefits: Flexible Schedule, M-F

Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred or equivalent years of experience as assistant buyer and buyer

Language: English (Required), Spanish or French are a plus!

Work Location: The Washington, D.C. are preferred but not required
