Job Description
What You'll Be Doing


In this role bridging the Business Information and Analytics (BIA) and Records Management (RM) teams, you will report directly to the Global Head of BIA in NY and manage the day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives for BIA and RM and key aspects of planning and executing service offering transformations.


The Business Strategy and Operations Manager will work in a dynamic, business-aligned environment focused on evolving our services in lockstep with our global front office clients and their changing needs, while leveraging our global team of internal and vendor resources.


This role will provide the appropriate candidate an opportunity to showcase and continue to develop their service and personnel management skills in a highly competitive environment.


The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with senior front office clients, as well as possessing a demonstrable ability to develop and mature processes associated with both client-facing services and team governance and management. You will manage the strategic roadmap to define, enhance and measure the effectiveness and overall business value of BIA and RM. The role is multi-faceted, fast-paced and demanding and directly contributes to the execution of multi-year strategic plans.


You Will


  • Build a talent development framework for ongoing professional growth of the internal team, supporting enhanced services to Business Partners
  • Develop and maintain standardized process and policies for diversified vendor strategy and reporting governance
  • Implement and scale Content Library structure with regional managers
  • Measure the effectiveness of BIA/RM services, enhancing key metrics and performance indicators, and report regularly to internal leadership and business partners on efficiencies gained and areas for continued growth
  • Drive the digital modernization of the BIA/RM technology platforms
  • Collaborate with BIA/RM Leadership teams to determine strategic initiatives and business development opportunities
  • Oversee management of risk as it relates to vendor and MNPI data handling and location-specific BCP
  • Provide operational support for global and regional managers of team utilization, ensuring efficient distribution of work and strategic initiatives


What You Will Need to Succeed in this Role


To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate these core competencies:

  • Business Acumen: Adept at and proactive in monitoring key metrics and performance indicators to understand and report on effectiveness of BIA/RM service offerings

  • Commercial Impact: Effectively analyze the business value impact of BIA/RM services and identify efficiencies gained and ongoing areas for improvement
  • Team Management: Build relationships and contribute to team management by maturing processes and metrics, recognizing strengths and encouraging ongoing development of skills to deliver best in class products to business partners
  • Effective Communication: Work closely with valued stakeholders on business requirements and be comfortable leading discussions and influencing outcomes; skilled at telling the story through metrics


To be successful in this role, you will have these technical skills, degree(s) or knowledge:


  • Experience in Financial Services; front office knowledge preferred
  • Experience managing business process outsourcing (BPO — vendor) partners, preferred
  • Resourceful, independent self-starter
  • Proficient in MS Office suite with an advanced emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to synthesize data and clearly articulate complex ideas
  • Comfortable and at ease in a demanding and fast-paced environment; ability to coordinate priorities as per business needs
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration or Finance, and/or 10+ years of work experience in business operations and administration
  • Effective organizational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deliverable deadlines


What's Preferred For This Role


To give you an extra boost, you will have:


  • Exposure working in Corporate Services or equivalent organizations within financial services
  • Direct experience in management and oversight of vendor/ outside business partners
  • Experience in managing research-based service and knowledge of business information sources
  • Worked in a matrix organizational structure
