The opportunity:
We're looking for a Business Operations Analyst to become the analytical partner to our Regional GMs. You will use looker and excel to drive alignment, efficiency, and communication across Sales, Account Management, Sales Operations and other North American teams to deliver on strategic initiatives for Flexport’s North America Demand organization. Reporting to the Chief of Staff for North America, you will:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate commercial strategy into detailed, actionable analyses for the commercial organization
  • Assume day-to-day responsibility for select projects and tasks designated by North America’s Chief of Staff
  • Support leadership in cross-functional planning by analyzing quarterly and annual Demand goals and becoming a data expert in North America’s regional P&L
  • Receive facetime and access to Senior leaders at the company, learning about their business units and leadership styles
  • Be responsible for the preparation and (with time) presentation of key materials to senior leaders
  • Use data to keep the business on track and identify opportunities to outperform the plan. Then lead implementation of those solutions
  • Assist the North America GMs and facilitate data-driven decisions.

  • Partner with the Demand Data Analytics team to service urgent client requests

You should have:
  • A good-natured outlook on mistakes, and be willing to own up to them
  • Desire to learn how to work collaboratively across departments with varying goals
  • A "compliance first" attitude to keep our regulators happy and enthusiastic about Flexport since we operate in a heavily regulated industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Business, Statistics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - we will grow these together
  • Excel and looker skills are required. Salesforce skills are a plus
  • 3 years work experience, top tier consulting and/or finance firm preferred
  • SQL fluency
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to translate data into insights and actions
