Job Description

This position is responsible for development of business intelligence (BI) capabilities to support the operations of the Network Performance Group (NPG). The incumbent will primarily support the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team. This may include, but is not limited to, the creation of interactive dashboards, reports, simple analyses, data management, creation of certified datasets, and needed documentation. This is a critical function needed to inform the executive leaders and clinical leaders on quality and patient safety, as well as supporting performance improvement activities and IPC operations.


EXPERIENCE
-
REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree. Informatics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Statistics or related
  • Experience creating intuitive dashboards, interactive visual reports, scorecards etc. using Power BI
  • Experience with data analysis in health care or related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
  • Strong ability to understand, categorize, and translate business/user requirements to functional technical requirements
  • Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team
  • Minimum of two years experience with Power BI desktop and online service, including Power Query and writing custom DAX expressions
PREFERRED:
  • Experience implementing row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
  • Knowledge of SQL and powershell scripting
  • Experience with clinical coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, LOINC, CPT, etc)
  • Experience working with various types of health care data
  • Experience creating and managing complex dataflows
  • Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record and related clinical databases
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure database, Azure Data Factory, Data bricks, and Apache Spark
  • Experience programming in Python and incorporating Python scripts into Power BI
