Business Development Manager, Clinical Trials

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, researching, and communicating with pharmaceutical and related organizations. This includes outreach and market research while keeping detailed records. The position reports directly to the company’s executive team.

Requirements

• A self-starter and a hunter’s mentality 
• US work authorization (required) 
• Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software (MS Office skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is required
• Bachelor's of Science, is a plus 
• 1+ years of experience in the clinical research industry, or similar 

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize various research methods to consistently update clinical trial data
• Ensure client satisfaction through continued relationship management
• Establishing new and maintaining existing industry and customer contacts for continuing good relations and business opportunity development
• Obtain clinical trial opportunities from our Sponsor/CRO partners
• Cold Calling / Emailing
• Persistent outreach interactions and follow-up on relevant inquiries via email, telephone, video, industry conferences and office visits
• Aggressively build a pipeline of new opportunities to ensure attainment of goals
• Ability to understand complex scientific concepts in the pharma and biotech industry and effectively communicate Clinitiative's value proposition to prospective clients
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to learn, understand, and use the drug R&D process to communicate with prospective clients
• Find new study and partnership leads

Skills

• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Challenge-motivated and highly responsive
• Experience with clinical trials is a plus
