Job Description
Terrayn is a growth-minded marketing technology company focused on helping brick and mortar businesses serve more people in their local communities. With primary focus on the retail cannabis industry, we are looking for a true “hunter” in the Business Development Executive role to help us expand into new industries and verticals. As a Business Development Executive you are responsible for developing growth in the company through increased sales and customer acquisition. In this role you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, conduct sales presentations and close deals.


You will analyze customer and industry problems to find the best solutions for our clients, increase brand awareness and provide the company with valuable information for future strategy and product development.


Compensation Structure:
Base Salary ($40,000 - $60,000 annually) + Commission (OTE: $85,000 - $120,000+ annually)
This position can be remote in all states (excluding MA and CA).
Job Responsibilities:
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring optimal terms and conditions for both the company and the client
  • Stay current with industry trends and business concerns to better understand client's needs and improve the service offerings
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and opportunities for business growth
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market insights to the management team
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads, conducting outbound calls, emails, and meetings to initiate and nurture relationships
  • Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to potential clients
  • Identify and prospect potential clients or business opportunities through various channels, including online research, networking, and referrals
  • Work closely with decision makers to understand their business to craft the most effective marketing solutions to meet their growth and revenue targets
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies and make appropriate adjustments to ensure continuous internal improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of sales strategies
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, consistently achieving revenue and growth objectives.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a B2B business development or sales role, preferably in the marketing industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales productivity tools
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
  • Strong knowledge of marketing concepts, strategies, and industry trends
