Core Responsibilities
As our new Business Data & Inventory Manager, you will take a regional role and responsibility for inventory management, and allocate the constant flow of goods to achieve and/or exceed in-stock targets in Brand Retail stores and our eComm warehouses in the US, Canada and Mexico. In this hands-on role, you will oversee the master data that drives the allocation and replenishment in these fields. In addition, you will be responsible for
  • Developing allocation strategies to support the flow of inventory during peak periods and to support stores that have unique events, space constraints and other factors
  • Executing on replenishment as business rules dictate, synthesizing data sets to analyze a replenishment methodology
  • Building seasonality curves within the A&R system for peak seasons and promotional activities
  • Analysis & Reporting – Item, theme and store level analysis to determine low or high inventory levels across for LEGO® Branded Retail stores and eComm
  • The day-to-day allocation needs and efficiently and accurately respond to quick changes

Our function is to offer exceptional allocation and logistics as a service provider to internal customers within our organization. The Allocation and Inventory department controls the flow of goods for the NA based business which means excellent customer service and an understanding of the end-to-end LEGO® Retail business is key to our success as we strive to deliver results in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
Do you have what it takes?
You hold a degree in Computer Science, IT, BI, Data Science or a similar field. You have 3-5 years of hands-on experience from retail and eComm businesses analyzing and summarizing data to arrive at informed and effective recommendations or decisions. Moreover, you bring
  • The flexibility of doing international and domestic travels
  • A talent for building positive working relationships with associates at various levels and cross functional areas of the organization
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with clear and concise communication within own team but also with internal partners such as Planning & Analysis, SIP and Distribution
  • Advanced capabilities in Excel including formulas, v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Flexibility in work hours and the willingness to support on evenings, weekends and holidays if needed
  • Proficiency in math/statistics/algebra
Core Responsibilities 1) Analyzing business intelligence data to inform business and product decisions 2) Blending historical data from available industry reports, public information, field reports or purchased sources as input to analyses 3) Identifying and analyzing industry/geographic trends and competitor market strategies and monitoring current/potential customer trends 4) Partners with other areas of the business (e.g., Marketing, Logistics, Customer Service, etc.) to model the outcome of implementing potential business strategies
