Job Description
Founder Shield is seeking a Broker within our General Liability vertical to help manage underwriter relations and quoting processes.
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the vertical lead, the Broker will be a critical member of the team at Founder Shield. This person will work directly with underwriters as well as our New Business and Customer Success teams on a regular basis in order to accurately quote client policies.
Other responsibilities include:
  • Facilitating the policy marketing, quoting, and underwriting process
  • Updating and improving upon internal information management systems
  • Delivering accurate quotes that meet or exceed client requests
  • Understanding client business models and negotiating with underwriters for the best possible quotes
  • Developing relationships with various insurance carriers
About you:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, problem-solver, excited for new challenges
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • 2+ years of commercial insurance experience and/or a degree in risk management
