The Job
Located in New York, the HBO and Warner Bros. TV Brand Marketing team is looking for a freelance brand coordinator to support the development and execution of innovative, brand-focused consumer marketing campaigns that drive awareness and affinity for HBO, Warner Bros. TV & Max International. The ideal candidate is creatively savvy and is up to date on the latest trends and technology. A team player, this person will have a collaborative working style with an enthusiasm for making connections with both co-workers and consumers, a strong sense of ownership and personal responsibility, and the desire to defy expectations.
The Daily
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Creative Services, Legal/Business Affairs, Social Marketing, Originals Marketing, etc.) as well as multiple external agencies to drive integrated marketing programs with results that deliver against key brand metrics.
- Support the global positioning and identity of three different areas of the business – the HBO brand, Warner Bros. TV, and the international roll-out and support of the Max streaming platform – ultimately bringing these brands to life via multi-faceted campaigns and activations.
- Support the HBO/Max College ambassador program to inform youth marketing strategy and execute on-campus brand events.
- Assist in the development and execution of creative global marketing materials that support the team’s key brands (HBO, Warner Bros. TV, Max Int’l) from the briefing process to production – spanning owned and operated platforms, off-channel, OOH and high-impact promotions (guerilla/viral marketing, event sponsorships/partnerships).
- Manage production schedules and timelines, budget/expenses, meeting agendas and recap notes.
The Essentials
- You have the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
- You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to communicate and build relationships with all levels in the organization
- You have an insatiable curiosity for understanding consumer behavior
- You are detail-oriented and deadline sensitive
- You proactively solve problems and get things done with a positive attitude
- You are a master deck builder with a proficiency in Google & Microsoft Suite
- You are passionate about advertising creative and working with creative teams
- You are a pop culture and entertainment junkie
- You have 1-2 years of marketing experience for a premium brand or an advertising agency (entertainment industry experience preferred)
- You possess excellentwritten/oral communication skills
- You are an organizational wizard, capable of transforming chaotic situations into structured and efficient processes through innovative methodologies, meticulous planning, and a keen eye for detail
- You are constantly thinking about ways to grab people’s attention in the digital world and through IRL stunts
- You stay up-to-date on new media tools, best practices and changes in brand advertising
