Your Opportunity as the Brand Manager, Meow Mix Marketing
Meow Mix
is an iconic CPG brand, providing cat food and treats to our beloved furry family members. As one of the largest and most-recognized brands in the $14B+ Cat Category, this business provides the opportunity for a motivated marketing professional to make a genuine impact on this fast-growing business, operating in a dynamic category.
Location: Orrville, Corporate Offices
Work Arrangements: Hybrid, 25% in office expectations
In this role you will:
  • Manage the $800MM+ Meow Mix business by executing annual brand plans to deliver fiscal year performance goals
  • Effectively coordinate and provide strategic brand direction to internal and external partners, including project prioritization and budget management direction
  • Positively contribute to the team culture; bring an optimistic, positive, collaborative, growth mindset to the business
  • Stay abreast of evolving category and consumer needs to provide a roadmap for how and where the Meow Mix business will win.
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners (Insights, Creative Services, Innovation, R&D, PMO, and Commercial teams) to determine project priorities and budgets to deliver annual brand plans
  • Collaborate with other marketers throughout the JMS to share ideas, best practices, and promote collective thinking
  • Develop annual brand strategies, priorities, objectives, and budgets to deliver growth objectives for the total Meow Mix business, ensuring alignment with the Director, Cat Marketing
  • Partner with Customer/Sales teams to develop channel strategies, address category and customer issues, and opportunities that arise with key retailers
  • Analyze and understand key business trends, track and report business results, and provide recommendations to the Director, Cat Marketing to quickly address evolving consumer behavior
  • Develop and maintain the Long-Range financial plan for the Meow Mix business in collaboration with Brand Finance and other cross functional partners
  • Achieve annual profit, market share, and budget objectives
  • Ensure the holistic brief, which outlines brand vision and strategy, reflects our long-term goals for the Meow Mix business
  • Work with our Consumer Engagement team to execute the integrated / holistic brand communication plans across all elements of the marketing mix, including providing input on briefs, tactics, and creative, as necessary
  • Monitor progress against objectives, develop recommendations and pivot as needed to drive results

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
  • 5 years of CPG Brand Marketing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of experience tracking and reporting business results in support of delivering the plan
  • 3 years driving projects requiring cross functional team coordination & leadership
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%
  • High level of analytical skills including telling a story with data
  • Ability to work with people at all levels within/outside JMS
