Job Description
What You’ll Do


As a Brand Communications Strategist on Cisco’s award winning brand team, you will guide our customer-facing Brand communications strategy, helping maintain Cisco’s top B2B brand position.


Working as part of The Hatch, Cisco’s internal creative agency, you’ll partner with internal account managers and creative teams to support and build our B2B brand communications, shape brand and creative campaign thinking, and work with internal clients to produce the best communications possible.


  • Lead day-to-day brand communications strategy on assigned campaigns
  • Distill complex business problems and technology solutions, audience insights and market research into simple, inspiring and concrete narratives
  • Actively apply strategic standard processes to all work on the team
  • Partner closely with creative teams and account counterparts in seeing ideas through to execution, helping ensure their ideas sing in digital and social environments
  • Distill quarterly brand tracking and creative/claims results into useful insights for the short and long term health of Cisco’s brand performance
  • Craft breathtaking, tightly defined creative briefs and lead inspirational creative briefings
  • Work with your account leads to clearly understand and align with internal Business Unit client on the challenge at hand


Who You’ll Work With


You will be a key member of our Global Brand team and will work with other strategists, brand creatives, digital UX and design teams, executive collaborators, product marketing teams across our various portfolios, and our outstanding agency partners. You will partner with a Creative Strategist and Project Manager, as well as Cisco’s Strategy, Insights, and Analytics to handle 3rd party strategic partners.

You are a captivating and persuasive writer and storyteller, able to craft a brand narrative in long and deck form, able to connect and convert anecdotes and data into insightful meaning. You thrive in a fast-paced and encouraging team environment.


Qualifications


  • Experience with coordinated campaign content strategy - video, digital, OOH, and social media
  • Experience leading qualitative and quantitative consumer research, distilling findings into useful insights that drive longterm strategy
  • An ability to work well with a fully remote team
  • Proficient in Adobe, Keynote, PowerPoint and remote-working communication platforms
  • A curiosity about tenacious simplification and prioritization
  • Ability to write, present, and sell in a clear, powerful and compelling way
  • Planning and research insight
  • 10+ years experience with top of funnel brand communications strategy working at a creative advertising agency
  • An eye for detail, proofing, and design
  • Excellent verbal communication and social skills
  • Experience running multiple large projects simultaneously with various stakeholders and partners
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a methodical approach to problem solving
  • An understanding of B2B/C-level audiences and the scale of enterprise business
  • Experience working with global technology brands and understanding what’s required for global brands to succeed in our current culture and business environment
