Booking Director Jobs

The Talent Booking Director with Disney Live Entertainment identifies and evaluates musical and specialty talent and provides exceptional client service in the areas of auditioning, booking, contacting, contracting, scheduling and tracking professional talent, as well as receiving, previewing, and logging promotional material.

The Booking Director reports to the Manager, Talent Casting, Booking and Contracts.

Responsibilities/You Will:

• Stay ahead of industry trends (locally, nationally, and internationally) to provide the highest level of client service
• Connect with talent and internal working teams
• Negotiate provider costs and conditions
• Attend client meetings to gain insight into entertainment needs and provide talent suggestions based on requested talent genre, timelines and costs
• Outreach to area venues and performances during the search for talent
• Source the most promising musical and specialty talent of all styles/genres for Disney Live Entertainment offerings
• Provide data related to Talent Casting, Booking and Contracts metrics
• Monitor performances to ensure show quality
• Build positive relationships with agents and talent providers to ensure Disney continues to be a client of choice
• Attend regularly scheduled team meetings and activities

Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:

• Ability to travel locally up to 20% of the time.
• Experience working within the legal parameters of various talent contracts
• Experience working in a team environment where collaboration is key
• Experience communicating with a variety of stakeholders (written and verbal) both internal and external
• Experience in delivering compelling, informative and accurate presentations to all levels of clients, including senior executives
• 3+ years’ experience in booking/contracting professional talent
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Experience in planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing, and negotiating
• Experience sourcing talent based on technical skills in multiple performance disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience booking (and negotiating) celebrity and/or high-profile talent
• Experience using talent-sourcing databases and/or software

Required Education

• High school degree or equivalent

Preferred Education

• Advanced degree in Arts/Entertainment or other related field

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $69,946 to $93,830 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
