Job Description
People make games great. And at Survios, we know we can't grow from an acclaimed VR studio to the world's premier game developer and publisher without them. That's why our most valuable investments aren't in the next-generation technology we use to make our games or the new HQ we're building in Marina Del Rey, but in creating a hybrid workplace that seeks out talent across the globe, nurtures its people, and encourages fun. A workplace where every team member knows they're respected and cared for. If you want to join a passionate team of developers driving toward the future of immersive gaming, we'd love to hear from you!
Survios is searching for a talented Lead Producer to help lead our next VR game. We are looking for a positive, flexible, and collaborative individual that will focus on bringing the best out of our team. You will lead production for the entire project, including managing the roadmap, milestones, budget, and staffing plan. You will also manage and cultivate relationships with IP partners and external vendors, and develop effective pipelines for working with them.
Responsibilities:
  • Setup and manage relationships with external vendors.
  • Create and manage project budget and staffing plan.
  • Plan, coordinate, and track project milestones and roadmaps.
  • Foster a positive team culture and rituals based on trust, learning, and communication.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the production team.
  • Coordinate relationships with internal/external QA teams to develop and execute test plans.
  • Ensure that the project is on track to deliver against the roadmap, and work with project leadership to make adjustments, as necessary.
  • Identify, communicate, and propose solutions to project risks.
  • Cultivate and coordinate relationships with IP partners and align on the use of their IP in our games.
  • Document and communicate project status to the project team and studio leadership.
  • Identify, track, and get approval for all IP-related content in the project.
  • Support the project lead in all aspects of production in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Ensure the production team effectively manages priorities, dependencies, tasks, and backlogs.
  • Ensure necessary processes and standards are adhered to, while identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and people management skills with the ability to influence a range of audiences.
  • Proficient user of Confluence, Google G-Suite, Microsoft Office.
  • Experience producing 20-40+ member teams.
  • 8+ years of experience producing video games.
  • Passionate gamer.
  • 4+ years of experience leading and managing teams.
  • Extensive experience in Jira.
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies, including Agile methodologies.
  • 1+ shipped titles on console, PC, or VR.
Pluses:
  • Experience with first party submissions for Sony, Nintendo, and/or Microsoft.
  • Experience with VR/AR development.
  • Experience with performance capture, VO recording, and localization pipelines.
  • Experience working on IP-based titles.
  • Experience with boxing/melee/fighting games.
  • Experience with shipping games for multiple platforms simultaneously.
