Job Description

Reputable family owned Collision Center in Nassau County, NY is seeking an experienced and organized Body Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of their busy auto body repair facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collision repair and management, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Great long-term opportunity with a growing organization, with the goal that this person will be able to grow and oversee more than one location.

This is with a leading automotive Collision Center / Body Shop with a commitment to providing their customers with the highest quality repairs and exceptional customer service. This a well-equipped, modern facility and it is important that the Body Shop Manager ensures every vehicle is repaired to its pre-accident condition. The successful candidate is an experienced and dynamic Body Shop Manager who is a great mentor and manager to their staff and is great at working with insurance companies. The Collision Center Manager will report directly to the owner.

Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as required
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality repairs and excellent customer service
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and materials, ensuring that all necessary supplies are on hand and ordering new items as needed.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly maintained and serviced
  • Maintaining relationships with insurance companies and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising a team of technicians and support staff
  • Oversee the daily operations of the body shop, including scheduling and coordinating repairs, managing workflow, and ensuring that all repairs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Continuously improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the facility to increase productivity and profitability
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, cycle time, and profitability, and implement process improvements as needed to achieve business goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with adjusters, and other key stakeholders in the collision repair process.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using Mitchell CCC software for estimating, invoicing, and other related tasks
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in collision repair, with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Knowledge of auto insurance processes and procedures
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be in the $140,000 - $150,000 range with true room for growth based on production.

Schedule:

  • 5 day work week, Monday - Friday.
