JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:

The Repair Planner is an hourly position with commission-based earnings in the Southern California market. The Repair Planner for Fix Auto must be an experienced professional in repair planning for auto collision repair and must be proficient with most insurance company direct referral programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Source, order & receive parts per insurer and company guidelines along with the parts coordinator.
  • Manage the repair process from beginning of repair to the end of the repair.
  • Build and maintain strong DRP relationships, adhering to individual insurance carrier performance metrics and standards. Ensure all DRP portals are reviewed and updated.
  • Ability to increase sales and profitability by properly allocating labor resources, sales mix analysis & calculator upload and ensuring repair vs replace when applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring final bill and estimate accuracy; all supplements are noted and authorized, all customer authorizations are noted throughout the repair, payment is received within 31 days of delivery, parts are listed correctly, ready to bill at delivery of vehicle including DRP closing documents.
  • Ability to identify express repairs and schedule vehicles appropriately to obtain cycle time efficiency.
  • Write a complete auto body collision repair plan after the vehicle is disassembled
  • Partner with the Customer Care Specialist to ensure customer communication and file accuracy.
  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience through communication and setting expectations with the customer, ensuring a quality and time efficient repair.
  • Knowledgeable in metal, refinish and plastic repair techniques.
  • Ensure quality is checked at each level of the vehicle repair, all repairs are performed according to OE standards and BAR regulations including performing necessary scans

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of metal/refinish replacement and repair techniques
  • I-CAR certification are preferred. I-CAR certification is mandatory within one year of employment
  • At least 3 years of DRP writing experience, along with outstanding insurance relations
  • State appraiser’s license required within six (6) months of employment.
  • Proficient with both Mitchell and CCC estimating systems, ERAC and DRP management systems.
  • Exceptional CSI scores of 90% or higher, laser focus on quality repairs and customer service excellence

Behavioral Excellence Required:

  • Utilizes intuition and critical thinking when writing a repair plan.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, detail oriented, punctual.
  • Perform all assigned activities according to the Standardized Operating Procedures of the company
  • Willing to participate in company meetings and training programs to grow and interact with team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, responsive listening and critical thinking aptitude.
  • Extend normal working hours as necessary to accommodate workload and customer requirements
  • Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of sales, key performance metrics and overall company operation.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude with cooperation, and leadership style with all team members and customers.
