Full-time position - three 12-hour shifts per week

If this sounds like a good fit for you, we are hiring for Behavioral Health Techs to work at our crisis stabilization unit, inpatient hospital, substance use residential and in our transitional living facility. As a BHT, you will provide counseling to support people's recovery, help in skill development and create structure for clients. This work requires a minimum of a high school degree. POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for Hospital/CSU client's care on day, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Provides support, education, and structure to clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor client's self-administration of medication.
- Supervise and assist clients with implementation of their residential treatment plan,
- Interact with and provide role models for clients.
- Communicate effectively with peers and other units and function as a team member.
- Document client contacts and complete other forms as required by program policy and procedure.
- Provide transportation for clients to outside meetings and outings.
- Assist primary therapists in providing continuity of care.
- Attend weekly group and individual supervision.
- Obtain training as mandated by clinic and program policy and procedure.
- Facilitate groups and meetings as directed.
- Provide emergency shift coverage as necessary.
- Have knowledge of and follow all agency and program policy and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in staffing and treatment planning.
This position is considered Safety-Sensitive by Polara Health.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education:
- H.S. graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience:
- At least 2 years or combination of education and experience equal to 2 years. Experience in residential or behavioral health field.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- First Aid, CPR, CPI
