Dina and Chef Steve Samson are making their long-awaited return to the Westside with Superfine Playa, located at Silicon Beach’s Runway Playa Vista. For the new concept, we will offer a full-service dining experience, opening with dinner and weekend brunch services. They eventually plan to open for weekday lunch service as well.

Superfine Playa will serve pizza made famous by Steve at Superfine Pizza in the Fashion District in Downtown LA. Along with the pizza, guests will enjoy housemade pastas, wood-grilled meats and fish, and dishes highlighting fresh produce from the Playa Vista Farmers Market. Dina will curate the restaurant’s wine and beverage program. There will also be a full-service bar with a happy hour.

Superfine Playa is currently seeking exceptional candidates to join our service team. We are searching for friendly, energetic, highly motivated individuals who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay Range: The hourly rate is $16.04+ tips

Bartender Responsibilities:

• With genuine hospitality, a bartender will deliver an exceptionally distinctive dining experience by crafting every alcoholic and nonalcoholic drink to company standards and serving guests responsibly.
• Take accurate orders
• Provide the highest levels of friendly and attentive service that build the guest’s intent to return while ensuring the bar is stocked and cleaned.
• Guide guests through our menus and provide beverage and food recommendations that meet or exceed their expectations.

Working Conditions

• Ability to engage in casual conversation with customers without sounding too personal
• Handle pressure with ease
• Work schedules may vary between early morning and late evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to expedite orders, attend to customers’ needs, and possess a strong desire to fulfill the wishes of the customers at all times
• Ability to shift gears quickly and multitask
• You may, at times, be asked to work overtime.
• Have an active ServSafe AlcoholSafety Certificate
• Maintain a positive attitude and have excellent communication skills
• At least one year of the expo, food runner, or serving experience
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in a standing position for an extended period of time (up to 10 hours)
• Able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Carry trays of food that may weigh up to 15 pounds
• Able to work in cold/hot conditions
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
