Aws Solution Architect Jobs

We are looking for someone who is confident, has strong communication/presentation skills for extensive government customer interfacing. This role requires re-factoring/re-platforming experience, NOT just lift and shift.

Must Have:

• Must be willing to face off with other senior architects and articulate your points to the customer, offer recommendations, and take lead on guiding them through their Cloud Transformation
• Extensive hands-on experience using AWS Native Suite – CodeCommit, CloudFormation, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, etc.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT
• Had to have worked with CICD tools in an AWS environment – Git, GitLab, Terraform
• Extensive experience with Cloud Migrations – refactoring/re-platforming, not just lift-and-shift
• 9-10+ years as an AWS Architect (infrastructure)
• Great Communication skills as this is a customer-facing role

Day-to-Day:

A customer is looking for a tenured AWS Architect to join their team remotely, and ultimately support their government customer. This is a heavy customer-facing role. Candidate must have great communication skills, be comfortable running point in meetings, and be able to articulate the processes and progression of the development and architecture of the new environment. Candidate will be working with various stakeholder groups to put together governance and security parameters to bring other application developers into this process. The AWS Architect will assess AWS capabilities, put together plans to migrate existing data to the new AWS cloud, and will have a heavy focus on the transformation of the information (but will NOT be expected to build the environment from scratch.)
