Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for an Automation Developer on-site at the corporate office in Chicago, IL.

We’re looking to add an experienced Automation Developer who will be responsible for design, development, and implementation of business process automations. This individual will help us scale our Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Program using industry leading tools. As a member of our Automation Services Team, you will be asked to engage with business partners to understand needs and translate into technology driven automation solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on automation experience with a background in application delivery or IT administration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply and integrate technologies such as UiPath and ServiceNow to deliver efficient business automations.
  • Evaluate emerging technology for applicability to business and technical solutions.
  • Translate technology into business language for communication with nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Participate in a delivery team following agile methodology, providing recommendations on designs that capitalize on the strengths and capabilities of our technology stack.
  • Implement secure development practices and periodically evaluate platforms for security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise to help drive innovation and automation best practices across our organization.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure cross-functional issues, tasks, or projects are coordinated and completed with a sense of urgency and a high level of customer service.
  • Provide leadership to citizen development program, coaching and governing during automation design and delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other IT related field
  • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Groovy, etc.)
  • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
  • Process-oriented with solid innovation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
  • Experience in performing code reviews to ensure adherence to solution design
  • 2+ years of robotic process automation (RPA) development experience leveraging UiPath platform or similar tool
  • Experience with SQL including querying functions
  • Proficient in process analysis, design documentation, and end-to-end solution support
