Work Type: Full Time / Contract

What You'll Do
  • Create solutions using different AWS services (Step functions, batch, glue)
  • Develop backend applications in Python, Golang, Perl, Java, and Scala for automation, data transfer, processing, and data ingestion (Linux and Windows OS).
  • Highly motivated self-starter, detail-oriented able to work independently.
  • Interact with databases such as MySQL, Aurora, Redshift
  • Write code documentation and install guides.
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting across multiple products on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Always look out for ways to improve existing processes.
  • Strong communication skills when responding to internal and external partners.
  • Write automated test cases for developed code.
  • Work in on-prem as well as cloud-based environments.
What You Know
  • Knowledge and experience using source code repositories (git, bitbucket)
  • Experience with the complete SDLC.
  • Experience in Openshift Containerization Platform and Kubernetes cluster across the cloud platforms is a plus
  • 5+ years of coding experience (python, go-lang, java, bash, PowerShell, Perl +)
  • Knowledge and experience using Apache hive
  • Knowledge and experience using Apache Airflow
  • Hands-on experience in the Agile framework
  • Any ETL tool usage experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in an AWS environment. (S3, EFS, EC2, EMR, etc.)
  • Database knowledge such as MySQL and Aurora primarily, plus others (Oracle, Vertica, DB2)
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence (or equivalent)
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field.
Compensation Band
  • $115-120k per year
